The Perfect Smile™ follows the Ontario Dental Hygienists’ Association (ODHA) Fee Guide to set prices for patients. In most cases, this results in a significant savings to the consumer and aligns directly with the re-imbursement policy of most major insurers.

In order to be fully compliant with COVID-19 regulations, we are charging a very modest fee for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to protect our staff and patients. As well, a small additional mobile fee applies to services delivery to retirement residences.

New patients often (always?) ask how much will it cost?

Our life is made a little easier when answering the question as we, by choice, align with the aforementioned Guide and a cursory peek at the Guide will show you that pricing is linked to effort (expressed in units).

The next question would naturally be how much effort is required?

This is a more difficult question to answer without first examining your teeth and gums. Factors affecting effort (and by consequence pricing) include time since your last cleaning (leading to tartar above and below the gum line); time since your last periodontal assessment; the presence of active gum disease, possibly with bleeding gums, and even more pedestrian conditions such as teeth crowding.   

It is important to note that we leave time with every appointment to complete the treatment in its entirety, no cutting corners or deferring to the next visit. This may result in a slightly higher initial cost as we work to bring your oral hygiene to a healthy state.

Teeth Whitening

Every Whitening performed by The Perfect Smile™ includes:

  • A No-Charge oral assessment by a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) prior to treatment
  • Gel application (2 different gels/session) by hand (RDH) using a microfiber brush (soft like the paintbrush that Leonardo da Vinci used to paint the Mona Lisa!) to ensure complete and even gel dispersion
  • The most advanced whitening gels (x 2) available specially formulated for professional in-office application
  • Use of a frequency-matched cool LED Accelerator Light ensuring no sensitivity
  • A Take Home Whitener Extender Pen – Gold & Platinum Plans (a $35 Value)
  • A treatment time of ~ 1 hour, in a relaxed and private setting

*A survey of local dental offices confirmed prices of $ 400 and up for a teeth whitening! In many cases, the treatment is a 14-day take home kit where the whitening gel is applied daily by the client!

Payment is due in full at time services are provided. Your insurance company will reimburse you directly.

For your convenience, we accept cash, cheque, Mastercard, Visa, Interac (Debit) and E-Transfer.

Insurance Processing

As noted above, payment to the provider for all services is required at the time services are delivered.

If you have dental insurance, you will be reimbursed by your insurance carrier directly.

We support your claim by completing the claim form at the end of each appointment and submitting the form to the insurer, electronically where possible, on your behalf. Payments are made directly to the patient by the insurer.

Insurance companies accepting claims from independent dental hygienists include Sun Life Financial, Co-operators, Desjardins, Sun Life Pensioners’ Plan, Empire Life, Equitable Life, Industrial Alliance, Manulife, Great-West Life / Canada Life Assurance, Public Service Dental Care Plan, Standard Life, Johnson, and Veterans Affairs Canada, to name a few. Cancellation Policy

Please cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment may incur a fee.
